The Boston Flower Show

This has been our 3rd year participating in the window box displays at The annual Boston Flower Show. We have so much fun designing and creating our display. One of my favorite parts about participating is the excitement in the air as everyone is working incredibly hard setting up their stunning displays.

This year the theme was 'Spring Savor,' we were asked to create displays that included edibles mixed in with non-edible plants. As an interior-plantscaping company we have tried to always showcase a bit of what we do! Last year we used tropical plants and so this year we decided to use succulents!! But did you know ... that some succulents are edible?! Aloe, stonecrops (sedum), and agave are just a few that come to mind. Here's a great website that provides more information: Edible Landscape Design.

In case you missed attending the Boston Flower Show here are some pictures that I took on a quite morning before the show had opened to the public!

Fall in New England!!

Fall in New England is one of my favorite times of year (at least weather and nature-wise) There are so many fun colors, the air is crisp, and fall just has this certain feeling of freshness that really enhances our senses. It's a great time of year to hop in the car and drive all around New England. Each town has something amazing to offer during the autumn months: fall festivals with fresh apples, apple cider, apple cider donuts, pumpkin caving festivals, maple syrup tours, and the list could go on forever!!

Here are some of our favorite fall activities to do in New England:

The Warren Family Farm, North Brookfield, MA

Nashoba Valley Winery, Nashoba, MA

Schartner Farms Corn Maze, Bolton, MA

Maine Brew Fest, Sunday Rive, Newry, ME

Pumpkin Festival, Keene, NH

Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular, Providence, RI

If you live in Boston take a drive around to take a peek at some of the amazing fall containers that are on display throughout the city! There are some amazing designers who have created some great works of art! Here are a few fun container gardens that I found on Pinterest to inspire you for your own container gardens!!

We would love to see some of your container gardens! Tag us on Twitter or Instagram to share your works of art with us!!

Boston Flower Show

This past weekend was the annual Boston Flower Show, more recently we have been just too busy to be an exhibitor but this year we had the honor to play a small part and we were givin the honor to participate in the Window Box Invitational. Annnd our very own, Beth Harding was a judge for the various competitions (she had a blast spending the day looking at all the beautiful displays). We had so much fun designing and installing our lush and spring inspired window box!!

Take a look at a few of the other displays! Aren't they stunning?!?! I wish I could incorporate each of these into my own garden!
