Since the very beginning, Harding Botanicals has been promoting The Plants for Clean Air organization under the direction of Dr. Bill Woverton, a NASA scientist researching the use of tropical plants to purify interior air in homes and office buildings. More recently, Beth was part of an initiative with LEED to include the use of interior plants as a category in the LEED certification point system. We are deeply committed to our work, our people and our clients.
Our commitment to sustainability increases every day. We have been on the cutting edge of the “green industry,” and had the honor of installing plants in the first two LEED certified buildings in Boston. The Manulife/John Hancock Building in Fort Point Channel was the first new construction project to be LEED certified, and Artist for Humanity was the first LEED certified renovation project in Boston. As we continue to inform and push our clients towards new projects, such as green walls and green roofs. Our commitment towards a more sustainable future will continue to benefit our society.
